about BBC Foundation
conserving biodiversity and promoting climate resilience
The Boki Biodiversity Conservation Foundation (BBC Foundation) was established by environmental scholars and conservation advocates from Boki Local Government Area, Cross River State, Nigeria. Recognizing the urgent need to conserve the region’s unique biodiversity, including threatened and endangered species, BBC Foundation seeks to collaborate with local communities, government bodies, civil societies, and international partners to protect and sustainably manage natural resources for present and future generations. Prior to registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2024, BBCF has carried out various conservation activities including, ecological monitoring, conservation education and outreach in communities and schools, provided support to undergraduate students, and promoted sustainable agricultural practices in the rich biodiversity region.
